CURRICULUM

As a student graduating from Sonrisas Training Center, you will receive your Certificate of Completion for the Dental Assistant Program. A student must keep in mind that in order to become a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and be eligible for employment as an RDA requires the student to complete a mandatory short course approved by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE) and pass the examination administered by the TSBDE. By law, a dental assistant must be registered with the TSBDE in order to take x-rays at a dentist's office. Additionally, students graduating from Sonrisas Training Center's Dental Assistant Program will receive their BLS (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association.
