REQUIREMENTS

Students must be at least 18 years of age at the start of the session

Students must have their High School Diploma or GED

Students must have an in-person interview with the admission counselor

Students must complete an essay stating why they want to become a Dental Assistant

For any dental assistant practicing in the state of Texas, additional requirements will need to be fulfilled following completion of this dental assisting course: Effective 09/01/06, to apply to become a registered dental assistant, a student must complete a mandatory short course approved by The Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. An approved provider list can be found on the TSBDE website: http://www.tsbde.state.tx.us. By law, a dental assistant must be registered with the TSBDE in order to take x-rays at a dentist's office.

Option 1:

$4,000

If paid in full before start of program

Option 2 - Payment Plan:

$2,000 down ($500 deposit + $1,500 before start of program)
- $160/week before start of each class
- Includes:
  - Tuition
  - Scrubs (1 set)
  - Student Supplies
  - CPR training
- Total: $4,240

Option 3 - Payment Plan:

$1,200 down ($500 deposit + $710 before start of program)
- $235/week before start of each class*
- Includes:
  - Tuition
  - Scrubs (1 set)
  - Student Supplies
  - CPR training
- Total: $4,500

Students who select to pay with one of Sonrisas Training Center's weekly payment plans must pay the full specified payment amount before each class. If student fails to pay their payment to any of the classes, they will be asked to leave and not be allowed to continue with the program. A student who fails to pay forfeits all deposit and tuition money previously paid to Sonrisas Training Center, except for the amount if any, that would be due back per the cancellation and refund policy.

We accept cash, checks (payable to Sonrisas Training Center) and credit/debit cards. There is a returned-check fee of $50.
